About this deal

Wonderful colour pictures of the food (and the authors very cute daughter). Easy to follow instructions. I also loved the authors notes for each recipe. Like which buns to buy. Freezing instructions and prepping ahead. The book should be titled “moderate fuss”. I got it because it seemed to promise easy family meals that were kid friendly. I don’t necessarily think that’s true. Recipes are fine as far as food goes. But if I have to make my own dressings, i certainly wouldn’t title it NO fuss. Recipes definitely require a moderate amount of fuss. NOTES: The calories in this dessert will depend on the type of ice cream that you use. If you use a light ice cream the calories will be about 145 calories per portion. Regular ice cream will obviously be more. Five stars, we'll be revisiting this cookbook. For families with young children or toddlers, this one will be especially welcome. There's a lot of appealing finger and bite sized food here. I choose this book for a few different reasons. The first reason is because of the title. I have a toddler so the idea of no fuss family meals sounded great to me. The second reason is because I recognized the author.

Add the roasted red peppers, garlic, oregano and a little salt and pepper to a blender and blitz until smooth. Each of the recipes includes an introductory description, ingredients listed in a bullet point sidebar (US measurements only), and step by step instructions. Nutritional info is not included. I believe all of the recipes are accompanied by photographs. The photos provided are high quality and clear and serving suggestions are attractive and appropriate. This is definitely a beautifully photographed cookbook. Would I buy or recommend? Oh yea! This cookbook has some mouth watering recipes. I have bookmarked quite a few! The fare inside is mostly American food but done a little more eloquently by a chef. Anyone who loves food and cooking will love this cookbook! I aim to make quite a few of these recipes! Five stars for No Fuss! The recipes in the book are easy to follow. I have tried several and had success with each one that I tried. The recipes are easy to follow and not overly difficult to make. All the delicious flavours of a Caesar Salad bulked out with pasta for a filling, family-friendly lunch. Ingredients Thank you to @netgalley, publisher and the author for gifting me this free ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.SERVING SUGGESTIONS: Serve with Greek yogurt and mixed fresh berries, or spread on some Nutella, jam or peanut butter for little mouths. I’ve never heard of Ryan Scott but apparently he’s a chef with a good reputation. I was expecting more interesting dishes but this book is boring and too long, none of the dishes were inspiring and the family photos just naff. There are far better cookery books out there and I wouldn’t bother with another of his books.
